Vision Day 2024

Are you looking for a space where you can let yourself imagine a different way of living, a 2024 that feels in alignment with your heart’s desires?

Join me for a 3 hour intimate experience guiding you towards your own inherent wisdom, creativity, and clarity through a body-based mindfulness practice, an archetypal card reading, collage journaling, community affirmations, and writing prompts to help catalyze your aliveness.

As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

-Marianne Williamson

The magic is in the showing up

So often, we voluntarily disqualify ourselves from living a life we love because we think we don’t deserve it, or we don’t know how, or we’re afraid—-afraid to take up space, afraid to fail, afraid to be “unrealistic.”

Vision Day is a brave and nurturing space to speak out your longings and experience the holding of community that says, “Yes, we bless your largeness. You are big and beautiful and worthy of living a life you can come alive in.”

It’s not about knowing the way forward—-it’s about giving yourself permission to take one step.

Vision Day Includes

Archetype cards

Vision Day begins with a body-based mindfulness practice and each of us will share aloud pieces of our vision for 2024.

As listeners, women are invited to write down reflections, but there will not be verbal feedback—instead, we hold space with compassionate witnessing and a “May it be so” in our hearts towards each woman’s longings.

I will pull an archetype card for each woman as a lens in which to view 2024 and as a bridge into our collage practice.

Visioning Guide

Once you sign up, you will receive an in-depth Visioning Guide with 9 questions (designed from a decade of research and experience doing this work) to help you clarify and catalyze your longings for 2024.

Brainstorming and visioning happens in your sacred alone time and what you share on Vision Day is the streamlined and clarified version of your private work.

Collage Journaling

Collage journaling is a guided intuitive exploration to help you create a visual map for 2024. We will share our collages in circle (as much or as little as you are comfy with) as a way to speak out our largeness and receive blessing to help it come forth. We end our time with community affirmations.

For in-person circles, I provide all materials. Online circles will need to bring your own collage materials.

A little Vision Day history

It’s important to know the soil that grew Vision Day because this energetic DNA is still in the practice and affects the potency of our offering:

The first Vision Day happened in Virginia in January 2011 as a multi-generational gathering of women (three sets of mother/daughters were present). We gathered from 9-2 pm sharing soup and crusty bread, collaging, writing, and then speaking the desires of our hearts out loud in circle. There was such a familial sense of being in this wild ride called life together. We gathered again that summer, and had plans for a fall/winter gathering, until my house burned down while I was 39 weeks pregnant with my fourth child.

New Year of January 2012 found my family living in a temporary space and me in a deep depression, and then we moved across the country to Fort Collins, a city where we knew no one, in July 2012.

As the New Year 2013 rang, I felt so alone and so lifeless. I didn’t know what to do except to open my home, invite the few women I knew from church to do a Vision Day, and hope that something about gathering and being honest and real with each other would help me remember myself.

We spent the whole day together, sparking each other’s fires of aliveness, and continued to meet every month throughout 2013, a movement that became the foundation for Arkitekt, a community organization that provides women’s circles and a curriculum blueprint to help humans come into alignment with their true selves.

Arkitekt existed from September 2014-September 2019, and then took hiatus because of my son’s cancer, and subsequently Covid.

I will be starting up Arkitekt circles again February 2024, so if you are interested in monthly gatherings with women as a way to continue the momentum and community connection of Vision Day 2024, let me know.
